When the Answer Is Already Within You
Have you ever noticed how sometimes the solution you’re seeking is already right there, but something keeps you from seeing it clearly? I was reminded of this truth today during a powerful conversation with a client.
Like many successful business owners, she was feeling caught between what she knew she needed to do and what felt “safe.” The answer was already there in her heart, but those familiar doubts – what others might think, the “golden handcuffs,” the fear of disrupting what’s working – were creating a thick fog around her clarity.
It reminded me of one of my favorite books, “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, where the main character Santiago embarks on a long journey only to discover his treasure was much closer than he imagined. The real magic wasn’t in the destination, but in his willingness to trust his inner knowing and take those first steps.
This is what I see so often with established business owners – you’ve built something successful, yet there’s a persistent whisper that there’s something more. Not necessarily bigger, but more aligned, more fulfilling, more… you.
The truth is, you already know what needs to change. The real question is: are you ready to trust that knowing? Are you willing to look beyond the story of “this is as good as it gets” or “I should be grateful for what I have”?
Your business journey, like Santiago’s, isn’t just about reaching a destination. It’s about becoming who you’re meant to be along the way. Sometimes we just need someone to help us clear away the fog so we can see what’s already there.
